The Vermonster pt.2
Hey everyone! So we have been up in Burlington about two weeks now and I think things are finally starting to get settled a bit. I've started applying for jobs after being sick for over a week and lena has started classes. I just hope this national job crisis hasn't effected Burlington :P
My mother has also gotten the labels for her tattoo salve, Ink Medic, so I will be putting up a website (hopefully this weekend) @ inkmedic.com so the salve will be available for purchase to a wider audience. then for the magazine ads!
here are a couple pictures I got of our new place and lake champlain before my camera died! (and I promise we will get pictures of the Italy trip up soon!!)

Vermont!
Hi all!
So it's been a while since I've posted... we've been quite busy getting our new life started. In fact, we moved to Burlington, VT last Saturday! We're busy getting settled, and I start school on Tuesday. Nick's working on getting a job. So life sure changes fast these days! Hopefully we'll be able to settle here for a while and not have any more big changes for once!
We're still waiting on the rest of the pro pics, but it the meantime here's a link to the album I put up on facebook that's mostly a collection of pics from various peoples cameras. Enjoy!

Problems with PayPal and Mogs.com
As any of you who know me, know I play Warcraft. My account was hacked by *dont click on the link, it's for trackback purposes* MOGS.COM *dont click on the link, it's for trackback purposes*(I am assuming by keylogging) a couple weeks ago, The password was changed and someone else used it for a day or two before I realized and managed to get the account back in my possession. Then I noticed money was spent on my PayPal account to buy gold for the game by MOGS (yes, you can buy money for a game in real life. and yes, it is VERY lame :P) I submitted an unauthorized usage claim, since, well, I did not authorize the payment and PayPal denied my claim, I lost my money I never spent ($27 whole dollarz, omg) and a lot of time I put into the game. I also sent messages to Networksolutions.com (they host MOGS.com), so we'll see what happens if anything.
Heres the back and forth with PayPal via webform@paypal.com, and from what I have read online, is very typical of PayPal
(It's very boring so you don''t really have to read it):
It's really quite amazng how, with such a dedicated and thorough 'Fraud Team', youcan not seem to figure out what is going on.
How am I sharpie to be guranteed any sort of protection when you gladly let notably fraudulent companies companies acquire another's mony so easily and then blame it on the consumer?
I can imagine what I will get out of submitting for the discrepancy report as I am plastic sure it is filled with vague redundancies as witnessed in all the responses I have received.
I can only assume you take pride in defeating and belittling your own user base, which while making money on your end must be great, it only make us more weary or your services.
Something makes me doubt you've noticed any errors in my response, it most likely has not been read at all, and I can only expect another reply such as:
" Hello my name is Arvin, I am sorry to hear about your situation and
understand your frustration and concern over this issue. I will be
happy to assist you with your questions."
"Hello my name is Christian, I am sorry to hear about the situation
regarding transaction ID 3CL74947MV920731A, and understand your
frustration and concern over this issue. I am more than happy to
assist you with your questions."
You should probably be a bit more straightforward next time:
"Hello, my ame is ***, you are pretty much fucked, we could care less, and theres nothing you can do about it. Take care and have a nice day"
Then at least I could stop writing you e-mails :)
Rock on PayPal, you ARE control.

Hi Christian, I appreciate your response.
Unfortunately, I am a little confused about your offer of assistance
when
you state that there is nothing I can do with regards to my case.
It is apparent I made a mistake in filing for an 'unauthorized
transaction'
as I am not entirely sure how the final conclusion was determined.
I will gladly supply all evidence needed for the former or should I be
granted the opportunity to file a dispute.
Could you please clarify the situation and let me know what the next
step is
to recouping my money.
Thank you for your help,
Nicholas Szumowski

The married life...
Sorry we haven't posted in while... we're still waiting on the wedding pictures to come back, so we haven't had much new in the wedding department. But plenty else has been going on... we took a trip to New Jersey, we've been swimming every where we can, and most importantly we've been planning our move to Burlington!
I've got my field placement assignment and am all registered for classes, so we're doing good on that end. The apartment hunting has been going less well... it's quite a challenge to find one from this far away, and it's hard to know what's any good when we probably won't be able to see anything in person. We at least have the grad and family housing as a back up, so if we can't find anything we like better, at least we'll have somewhere to live! In the meantime, Nick is starting to look into jobs, and I've given my notice at work, and we're trying to make the most we can out of our last summer here, which is going to be gone before we know it!
I guess that's all right now. Love to all!

We're back!
And we had a great time. :) Jamaica was gorgeous. The water was as warm as the air, and so clear you could see to the bottom super far out. We spent endless hours sitting on the beach, drinking pina coladas, and reading. The food was great, especially at the fancier restaurants. It was good to finally be able to relax and do nothing to the point where we actually got bored! After spending the last year juggling work and wedding planning and more, it felt like a luxury to have so little to do we got bored.
The good stuff:
- Chukka horseback ride and swim: it was amazing!!!!
- snorkeling
- adorable lizards everywhere
- the beach!!
- relaxing and SLEEPING
- the drinks, the food
- jet skiing and other watersports
- couples massage!
The less good stuff
- Things booked up strangely far in advance, so we didn't end up doing everything we wanted to
- the crazy drivers
- the way people off the resort demanded tips
- the service was a bit slow and inconsistent, but maybe that comes with tipping not being allowed, so I guess I prefer that to tips being demanded
- It rained a few afternoons
- it was REALLY humid, so all of our stuff was sort of moist the whole time
Overall I think it was exactly what we were looking for in a honeymoon... relaxation. I would have liked to get off the resort a bit more... We just talked to someone yesterday who goes to Negril all the time and rents scooters and drives them along the cliffs. I wish we'd known about that... it would have been awesome to do something off the resort that wasn't a tour. I've decided we just like having the freedom to do what we want and explore without having people guiding us around all the time. But it was great all in all, and we appreciate everyone who helped us make our honeymoon dreams come true! We'll get pics up soon!
Now we're back home and beginning our lives together. :) We took the rest of the week off so we can unpack and get settled. We actually went to a financial adviser yesterday, which was really cool. We have all these plans now for IRA's and investing and stuff, so I think we're getting off on the right foot. And we used some of the wedding money to buy a flat screen TV! It's huge! (at least compared to the 20ish tube TV we've been using, haha) Nick has been working all morning on getting it connected and playing with the settings.
That's all for now! Hope you are all doing well. :)

small update!
so the past couple days have been filled with jet skiing, horseback riding (we are both very sore!), couples massages, lots of food, sunburns, snorkeling, reading, napping. i'ts been pretty amazing but i almost think im getting to the point where i may be bored. there really isn't much to do except do everything you did the day before. the restaurants are a little crowded which isn't as intimate as i'd hoped. but all in all it is pretty awesome here, i just which there was more to explore! love you guys, hope everyone is well!

welcome to jamrock...
Jamaica day 1-2 (the quick condensed version)
woke up at 3am and packed a little, brushed our teeth in a sleepy haze and awaited the 4am Knights Cab to pick us up. The Logan experience was fairly typical...took about two hours to even get into our departure zone. We flew into Charlotte, at the same time my mom and ron were driving through the city on their way home to florida. took off from Charlotte and landed in Montego Bay at about 3:30. It was very chaotic trying to find our taxi service to the hotel in which every driver tried taking our money saying "this is how we get paid or you wont get a ride or have your bags." we finally got on the bus with one other couple from Virginia who seemed pretty cool and started our hour and a half journey to the resorts on Seven Mile Beach. I dont think I have ever been to a third world country but that drive in itself what the most insane thing i have ever experienced. i thought italian drivers where horrible. this country is like total chaos. people literally living in shacks right on the edge of the road made of scrap metal and pieces of wood, parking in the street, trying to sell you mangoes and drinks and shrimp while your still driving down the road. apparently there are about ten lanes per lane and they just drive wherever hell they want to get around your car. horses, goats and other animals just hang out near the road and in all the abandoned houses that are along the way. it looked like a family of brown goats took up residence at an abandoned mansion. lena started getting car sick but we finally arrived at our "safe" little haven. the place is gorgeous, the workers are very nice and are even nicer if you are nice to them. i have a feeling they get treated like crap most of the time. its kind of weird not having to tip anyone or waiting for a check. you just sit down, orde how much of whatever you want and when you are done you just leave. and i finally got an amazing nights sleep! anyway the sun is out, this computer sucks, and we need to explore the grounds a bit more as yesterday was raining when we got here. love you all! sorry for the bad grammar and spelling....update soon...

We got married!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks to everyone who came and celebrated with us yesterday. It was amazing, everything we could have hoped for. We had a beautiful wonderful time, a big part of which was having all our family and friends surrounding us.
We'll post more pictures as we get them in, but for now, here's a shot of the new married couple!
